It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a squad that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the opportunity.

Finally, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to produce her latest masterpiece.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was removed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this championship should hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
